
Bill Tully joined the JFK, Jr. Institute in 2003. As Project Director for the CUNY Youth Transition Demonstration Project, he oversees all aspects of the project's mission serving parents and their children with disabilities. Prior to joining the Institute, Mr. Tully enjoyed an extensive career with the New York City Department of Education as a teacher and administrator of transition services for students with special needs. He is a member of the Bronx Borough President's Advisory Council for People with Disabilities and also serves on the advisory committee for Ken's Kids Inc., which is an employment collaboration with Home Depot . Mr. Tully has been the recipient of numerous awards presented by the Department of Education and advocacy groups within the Bronx. He was most recently recognized by the Bronx Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Council for his successful work in preparing students with special challenges for personal independence and employment. He holds a bachelor's degree from Iona College and a master's degree in Special Education from the College of New Rochelle.
