Since 2004 the Institute has sponsored a four-course, twelve-credit, multidisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Disability Studies that is offered through the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
The Certificate is designed for individuals who are currently working in the disability field, people with disabilities and their family members, advocates, and individuals with undergraduate or graduate degrees who want to develop their expertise in this area of study. All students must apply for and be admitted to the Certificate Program.
The Graduate Certificate in Disability Studies consists of a four-course, 12-credit sequence.
Credits earned may be applied toward a wide variety of master’s and doctoral program in the CUNY colleges and elsewhere. This certificate is registered with the New York State Department of Education.
