Institute Hosts Youth Studies Colloquium
On May 7, 2009 CUNY's Office of the University Dean for Health and Human Services partnered with DYCD to host CUNY faculty, city partners and youth-serving agencies at Baruch College for a Youth Studies Colloquium. The program included John Mogulescu, Senior University Dean for Academic Affairs and Dean of the School of Professional Studies, DYCD Commissioner Jeanne Mullgrav, and panels on undergraduate and graduate coursework in Youth Studies. Dr. Sarah Chinn gave the keynote address on the topic of her new book, Inventing Modern Adolescence. The Colloquium is part of a CUNY-wide Youth Studies Consortium designed to develop counseling, outreach efforts and new courses, certificates and degrees in Youth Studies across the colleges.
